Summary

The Buff-Tailed Bumblebee is a social bumblebee native to much of Europe and parts of North Africa and Asia, with introduced populations elsewhere. Colonies are founded by queens, and workers use buzz pollination to release pollen from some flowers. It is an important pollinator of wild plants and crops, although introduced colonies can affect local pollinator communities.
